Despite being mentioned by name in part a) of Policy SPS1, which then refers to Policy SPS2, Basingstoke Town Centre is not referred to in this Policy as a priority area for regeneration. In order to be consistent, this Policy should be reworded to specifically mention Basingstoke Town Centre as one of the ‘initial priority areas’ in the first paragraph of the draft Policy.
