We note the inclusion of the following passage: “Proposals must achieve at least six credits for energy efficiency (Category ENE01) and five credits for water consumption (Category WAT01) unless these can be robustly demonstrated to not be technically achievable or viable”.

A BREEAM assessment will be undertaken for the new hospital development at the proper time. As a result of necessarily being function-led, the achievement of this level of credits for a hospital development may be challenging, or not possible. Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust therefore welcome the inclusion of the opportunity (if necessary) to submit representation why achieving these credits may not be achievable.
